Russell Crowe takes a swipe at Donald Trump and says he would NEVER play him in a movie ahead of his historic arraignment
Russell Crowe has taken a dig at Donald Trump just hours before his arraignment on Tuesday, where he could be facing 30 counts of business fraud.
The Australian actor, 58, was discussing his new film The Pope’s Exorcist on Channel Seven‘s Sunrise when host Natalie Barr asked him whether he’d ever play Trump in a movie.
‘Donald Trump is the story of the day. Would you think of playing him in the future? I don’t think you’ve played him yet Russell,’ Natalie asked.
The Robin Hood star avoided answering the question and looked down at his watch.
I’ve got lots and lots of things to do,’ Russell jokingly responded.

It comes after Trump landed in New York ahead of his historic arraignment in the Stormy Daniels hush money case on Tuesday.
It will make Trump the first former U.S. president to face criminal charges when he is arraigned, fingerprinted and photographed at the downtown Manhattan courthouse.
His lawyers have said he will enter a plea of not guilty and his legal team is preparing to add a constitutional expert amid fears that the judge in the case will impose a gag order.
His legal team also issued a plea to the judge to ban cameras from the courtroom and hired top defence attorney Todd Blanche to boost their defence.
The charges against Trump remain sealed, but it is believed they stem from an investigation into $130,000 hush money paid to adult movie star Stormy Daniels.

‘I will be leaving Mar-a-Lago on Monday at 12 noon, heading to Trump Tower in New York,’ the former president posted on Sunday night.
‘On Tuesday morning I will be going to, believe it or not, the Courthouse. America was not supposed to be this way!’
Court officials say he is due to arraigned at 2:15pm on Tuesday.
He is then expected to return to his Mar-a-Lago home where he plans to make a speech in the evening.
