An emotional Skye Wheatley has broken down over the lack of support that other influencers have shown her clothing brand.

The former Big Brother star, who runs the athleisure line Good People Apparel, tearfully told her followers on Monday that she could no longer afford to send out freebies from the brand because the business isn’t profitable enough yet.

She also called out other influencers for not posting about the brand on social media, despite requesting and receiving free items from her.

‘It’s just f***ed,’ she sobbed as she wiped away tears.

‘It’s actually stressful how much money we’ve lost by what we’ve already given out,’ she confessed, before admitting that her business partner has now told her to stop providing freebies.

‘I’m just an idiot because I get really excited like, “Yeah, we’ll send you one!” I want to see everyone in it, and then the people that you’ve wasted money sending it out to do nothing,’ she cried.

‘And it’s like, that could have gone to one of my family or friends who actually would’ve worn it and told people about it… they would’ve actually appreciated it.’

The 29-year-old said that she’d promised a bunch of influencers that they’d get tracksuits from the brand soon, but could no longer provide them because she feared there wouldn’t be enough left over for customers to purchase.

‘Sorry, I’m actually getting emotional because I really want my brand to do well,’ she said through tears.

She also clarified that the line isn’t turning over a big profit yet, and any money they make gets reinvested back into the business.

The emotional confession comes just one week after Skye was forced to shut down her online business Presets by Skye & Freja, which sold custom photo filters for Instagram.

Announcing the closure, she wrote: ‘It is with a heavy heart that we must inform you that we will be closing down our business.

‘Although this is a bittersweet moment for us, we are extremely grateful for the support and loyalty you have shown us over the years.

‘As a final thank you, we want to offer you one last chance to purchase our presets before they are gone forever.

‘Don’t miss out on this opportunity to own a piece of our brand and take your photography to the next level. Thank you again for your support. Skye & Freja’.

Skye teamed up with her friend Freja Emily in 2019 to launch a company selling digital filters, or ‘presets’, for Instagram.

Presets by Skye and Freja charged up to $153 for filters that can be used to make selfies look more artistic or aesthetically pleasing.

Skye recently put her $75,000 Mercedes on the market to help finance the renovation work on her luxurious Gold Coast mansion.

The former Big Brother star-turned-influencer shared a snap of her white Mercedes to Instagram last month and asked interested buyers to message her.

‘Selling white Mercedes. DM Me, xx,’ she wrote next to a photo of the luxury vehicle parked in her garage.

She also posted a photo of the renovation work currently being undertaken on the garage loft of the Gold Coast property she purchased in 2019.

Celebrity watchdog account Influencer Updates AU shared the photos and told followers the blonde beauty was selling her ‘spare car’ as she continued renovating her property.

Many of their followers were quick to congratulate Skye on working hard towards her goal.

‘It’s going to look sensational when finished,’ one fan gushed and another wrote ‘good for her’.

Skye lives in Queensland with her partner Lachlan Waugh and their two sons, Forest, three, and Bear, one.
