She raised her children as a single mother following the death of her husband Steve ‘The Crocodile Hunter’ Irwin in 2006.

And Terri Irwin, 58 is now struggling with the bittersweet realisation that her children Bindi, 24, and Robert, 19, are all grown up, reports claim.

‘Terri is happy to see both Bindi and Robert living their lives and thriving, but it does break her heart just a little to see her kids all grown-up and needing her less and less,’ a source told New Idea magazine on Monday.

Terri’s fears have apparently been heightened by news of Robert’s new relationship with Rorie Buckley, as well as Bindi’s reported second pregnancy.

Bindi and her husband Chandler Powell are rumoured to be expecting their second child, almost two years after the birth of their daughter Grace.

‘[Terri] has watched on proudly as Bindi grew into a confident mother with Grace, but she knows that when the next little one arrives that Bindi will want to do things her way now – and that’s likely going to be a hard adjustment,’ the insider said.

Bindi and Chandler are also reportedly planning to keep their second child out of the spotlight, unlike Grace who regularly appears on the Wildlife Warriors’ social media page.

Terri apparently disagrees with the decision, as she is apparently very keen to show off her growing family to the public.

‘It’s probably not the way Terri wants, but Bindi’s told her mum that when baby number two arrives, they will be following her rules,’ the source claimed.

Pregnancy rumours surrounding Bindi were first sparked when she posted pictures of Chandler’s 26th birthday on November 14.

Eagle-eyed followers pointed out she was hiding her stomach behind a strategically-placed birthday cake.

At the time, sources close to the pair told Woman’s Day magazine the lovebirds will be announcing the big news ‘any day now’.

The publication alleged the conservationist duo were waiting for Chandler’s US-based parents, Chris and Shanna, to arrive in Australia for his birthday to spill the happy news to them first.

‘They’re hoping to officially announce another baby is on the way any day now,’ an insider allegedly told the publication.

‘They also can’t wait to give Grace a sibling close in age. They really want a boy, given that both Bindi and Chandler grew up with a brother each and loved it.’

The insider went on to claim that ‘Bindi’s sad the infant months are over’ and is hoping to give her 20-month-old daughter Grace Warrior a sibling ‘sooner rather than later’.

‘Bindi’s already hinted to her mum that she might be a grandma for the second time and [her mum] Terri’s over the moon at the mere thought of it,’ they claimed.

Steve, known as The Crocodile Hunter, died on September 4, 2006, at the age of 44 after he was pierced in the chest by a stingray barb while filming a wildlife documentary called Ocean’s Deadliest in Queensland.

Terri has never dated nor remarried since her husband’s death, despite swirling rumours of romances with the likes of Russell Crowe over the years.

The Irwins have meanwhile kept Steve’s memory alive through their conservation work at Australia Zoo.
