The Kid Laroi thrilled fans when he hit the stage at Coachella music festival in California on Saturday.
And during his performance, the Aussie rapper made sure to share a tribute to his close friend and fellow megastar Justin Bieber, after they released their hit track Stay together back in 2021.
Laroi, whose real name is Charlton Kenneth Jeffrey Howard, 19, thanked Bieber, 29, for ‘changing his f**king life’ and for being his ‘f**king friend’.
Justin had been spotted partying at the famous festival over the weekend.
‘Justin – thank you for changing my f**king life, bro,’ Laroi began while on stage during his set.

‘You’re such a special f**king human being. I love you and I’ve got you forever, bro’
He finished: ‘Thank you for being not only an incredible musician and collaborator, but thank you for being my f**king friend, man.’
After Laroi released his track Go featuring Juice WRLD, who died in 2019, Justin sent Laroi a message complementing him on his music.

From there the two developed a friendship and eventually led to their collaboration on the song Unstable for Justin’s most recent album Justice.
‘That definitely shocked me. I was like, “Oh, s***, this is crazy’ because I looked up to him when I was little, so, yeah, that was crazy,’ Laroi previously said.
The two have also collaborated on the hit song Stay, which got The Kid Laroi earned him the number one spot on charts around the world.

And now he’s on a mission to showcase his home country’s rap scene to the world.
‘I don’t think America is completely switched on to how big [and] great the Australian music scene and culture is, but I think that’s kind of my job to shed light,’ he told Triple J.

The Waterloo-born star said he’s long dreamed of putting Sydney’s rap scene on the map ‘the way Drake did with Toronto’.
Born in Canada, rapper Drake often gushes about his home city of Toronto in his music, and even boasts a number of Toronto-themed tattoos.
Laroi, whose real name is Charlton Howard, added: ‘You have to do it in a way where people get it and really see it for what it really is; how great the scene really is.’
‘That’s the most important thing – I don’t want people to overlook it or think because it’s my country, I really want people to recognise Australia is the f**king future of music, in my opinion.’
