The Matildas were victorious in the Women’s World Cup opener on Thursday night, with a 1-0 victory over Ireland.

And player Cortnee Vine was still over the moon on Friday after her team’s exciting win.

Cortnee was seen sporting a huge grin as she relaxed with her girlfriend, fellow Sydney FC player Charlotte McLean, 23, in Double Bay.

The soccer star, 25, enjoyed a leisurely walk with the blonde around the ritzy suburb.

The couple looked all loved-up as they placed their arms around one another.

Cortnee proudly wore her Team Australia blue and yellow tracksuit and her hair pulled back into a low ponytail.

Charlotte was slightly more dressed up for their romantic walk, wearing a pair of grey trousers and a black long-sleeved top.

She pulled the outfit together with a pair of chunky black loafers as she kept her lock blonde locks down in a loose wave.

Sydney’s Accor stadium was at full capacity for the opening night of the Women’s World Cup, with 75,784 attendees, which is a new Matildas record on home soil.

Australian fans were extremely worried before the match as it was announced that the team’s captain and star striker Sam Kerr was ruled out after sustaining a calf injury in training.

She also will not be playing the Matildas second World Cup match against Nigeria.

However, Steph Catley stepped up as captain and also delivered a goal in the 52nd minute that beat Ireland.
