Today host shocks fans by revealing it’s her ‘last day’ on air – following engagement to NRL executive
Britt Cohen is leaving the Today show ahead of her wedding to Aaron Warburton.
The entertainment reporter made the announcement on Friday’s show, but insisted she would be back after her nuptials.
‘Our beautiful Brit is heading off to get hitched and today is her last day before that happens,’ host Sylvia Jeffreys said.
The television host clarified it was Brit’s ‘final day at work for a couple weeks’ as she handed her a large bunch of flowers.
‘I am definitely coming back, but I may come back with a different last name – Warburton. I need to try it out,’ she added.

She later shared a photo from the sweet moment to her Instagram, where she was treated to cupcakes, captioning it: ‘Feeling the love today’.
Britt announced her engagement to long-time boyfriend Aaron in December last year.
She shared the happy news to Instagram alongside a photo of herself smooching her new fiancé, who is the Chief Executive Officer of the NRL Bulldogs.
The blonde beauty also stunned fans by revealing her impressive emerald-cut diamond engagement ring.

Brit has become a star on the Channel Nine breakfast show after initially working behind the scenes.
She was previously a producer for Today and Today Extra and frequently conducts Hollywood interviews and covers red carpet events.
