It comes after Will recently revealed he’d ‘finally been paid market value’ for Asda ‘s Christmas advert featuring Elf.

The actor rose to international fame when he played Buddy in the 2003 Christmas film, Elf.

The film and entertainment studio Warner Bros , who own the rights to Buddy, have licensed the beloved character specially for the advert, which is made of blended footage from the original movie and newly filmed scenes.

Speaking to Yahoo Entertainment UK, the Step Brothers actor was asked about the brand new Christmas advert in which he features, as he revealed: ‘Well… it kind of helped me finally get paid market value for when I shot Elf.’

Will then circled back to the advert itself as he said: ‘I thought it was well done.’

Though Will’s latest appearance as Buddy has sent fans of the popular Christmas wondering if he would return to the role in a second feature film, the comedic actor played down expectations as.

He noted: ‘No, I think that would look strange, a 55-year-old man running around in tights. I think Elf is its own entity.’

The brand new Christmas advert features Will dressed in full elf costume as Buddy shows up at an Asda store to trial as a seasonal recruit enlisted to help with the busy period in the run up to Christmas.

But even though he is full of cheer and enthusiasm, Buddy’s trial run is chaotic and sees him taking breaks chatting with the other Asda employees, hopping around the store and eating the pigs in blanket on display.

Throughout the advert, Asda’s enticing Christmas range is displayed around the store. After the day ends, Buddy stays late to infuse some more festive spirit around the store with fairy lights, garlands, gingerbread houses and a massive Christmas tree.
