City beat Yokohama F. Marinos 5-3 and Bayern Munich 2-1 in the Japanese capital of Tokyo over the past week.

They have now continued their travels across Asia and have landed in South Korea, but have been met with extreme weather conditions.

Kick-off against Atletico was due to take place at midday English time, but this has been pushed back by another half an hour as per The Athletic’s Sam Lee.

Videos on Twitter show the true extent of the rain that’s hit the Seoul World Cup Stadium.

Surface water can be seen all across the pitch as City wait to play their final pre-season fixture.

Fans in the ground were also sent a public safety alert due to the conditions in the city.

They are now less than two weeks away from commencing the defence of their Premier League title once again.

After they’ve returned from Seoul they will face Arsenal in the Community Shield next Sunday in the season’s curtain raiser.

A trip to Burnley, led by legendary defender Vincent Kompany, follows five days later.

City will then make their appearance in the Super Cup final as Champions League winners against Europa League victors Sevilla.
