Chelsea were embarrassed in their last Premier League outing.

They conceded four goals to Wolverhampton Wanderers at home, losing 4-2 in total. And it was a defeat Chelsea players struggled to deal with it seems.

According to LondonWorld, they looked broken in the dressing room after the loss.

It was not the Blues’ only bad defeat that week. They also lost 4-1 to Liverpool a few days earlier, but this particular result looks to have really hurt them.

Mauricio Pochettino‘s men will try to bounce back tomorrow when they take on Aston Villa in an FA Cup fourth round replay.

Chelsea players broken after Wolves defeat

They conceded four goals at Stamford Bridge against a side who went into the game below them. Of course their pride is hurting a bit right now, especially after being beat by a similar scoreline earlier that week.

Chelsea have no time to cry and feel sorry for themselves, though. As just mentioned, they are on FA Cup duty tomorrow and still have a Carabao Cup final to play at the end of the month.

The Blues need to pick themselves up and try and win those two fixtures, especially the latter, though Pochettino may need to win the former to actually get his day out at Wembley.

According to journalist Simon Phillips, speaking to a source, defeat at Villa Park could see the former Paris Saint-Germain and Tottenham Hotspur boss get the sack.

If Pochettino does, when he looks back, he will not be able to ignore this latest defeat to Wolves. If the Chelsea manager still had backers before that game, he has surely lost them now.

To win at least some of them back, it is probably going to take victory at Wembley when his side take on Jurgen Klopp’s men.
