A woman has been discovered dead in the front yard of a home in regional Queensland.

The 55-year-old woman was found at a house on the corner of Buckland St and Drayton Rd in the Toowoomba suburb Harristown, 125km west of Brisbane, at 1.30pm on Saturday.

Police taped off the home and closed the Buckland St entrance from Drayton Rd.

A crime scene was established and officers attempted to access the house. 

Queensland Police’s investigation into the circumstances of the woman’s death is ongoing.
