JACKSON COUNTY, Ky. (TCD) — A 22-year-old woman and 23-year-old man were arrested this week after they were allegedly caught trying to sell their twin daughters.

Jackson County Detention Center records show Zackary Davis and Jacquilyn Keith are being held on a charge of promoting human trafficking — victim under 18 years of age.

According to WKYT-TV, Davis’ sister-in-law reached out to Jackson County Sheriff’s Office officials and reported that she agreed to purchase the infants for $5,000 from Davis and Keith. The sister-in-law reportedly shared photos and conversations she recorded with the couple. Keith and Davis allegedly confessed to talking about selling the twins, but claimed they did not intend to go through with it.

The children are reportedly less than a year old.

The current status of the children was not listed.
