Reports from France have shared what one of Chelsea’s top loanees is earning per month whilst at his temporary club.

L’Equipe have compiled a list of what every single Ligue 1 side are paying their players this season, with Strasbourg being one of those looked at.

Santos has joined Chelsea’s feeder club on loan in January, after his time at Nottingham Forest turned into a nightmare.

Andrey Santos not playing for Strasbourg

The Brazilian had featured for mere minutes for the Premier League side, which was a real issue for the Blues as they had big ambitions for him to come good soon.

They decided to send him to Strasbourg after recalling him, however his fortunes have not really changed since moving out to France.

Despite being able to link up with fellow Chelsea loanee Angelo Gabriel out there, he has hardly featured and is not getting the opportunities to progress those at Stamford Bridge will have been hoping for.

Angelo on the other hand has at least had some success this season, although plenty of that came in the opening weeks of the season.

Andrey Santos salary

The article states that the winger is earning approximately £102,000 a month during his loan spell, whilst Santos is instead on just under £95,000 a month.

When taking into account the reported salaries of players currently at the club, the best comparison is fellow Brazilian Deivid Washington, who was bought in similar circumstances but did not actually get a loan move.

The youngster reportedly earns a fee of £7,000 a week, clearly paling in comparison to the two loanees.

Chelsea are keeping a close eye on things at Strasbourg for the rest of this season, and if Santos doesn’t become a starter soon there will be serious questions asked over who made the decision on the two clubs that Santos would play for this season.
