Police have searched a property in Binya, near Griffith, NSW in relation to the death of a toddler last December.

On Friday, December 1, a two-year-old boy was brought to Griffith Base Hospital with significant injuries to his head.

The boy was airlifted to Sydney Children’s Hospital in Randwick, but died two days later.

At the time of the toddler’s death, a strike force was established to investigate the tragedy.

Today, police officers conducted a line search at a rural property in Binya, some 30 kilometres north-east of Griffith.

Drone footage from the search shows officers inspecting the ground in a bare paddock, as they investigate the circumstances of the toddler’s death.

Police have appealed to the public for information, and are hoping to speak to anyone who may have seen the child in the week before his death.

The child may have been seen in the townships of Leeton, Binya, and Griffith.
