Police were called to Henry Lawson Way in Glenelg, about 19km north-west of Grenfell, at about 11.10am on Monday after reports a cyclist had been found unconscious.

The 67-year-old man was treated but died at the scene.

A 39-year-old man was arrested during a traffic stop south of Forbes just before 3.30pm yesterday, following inquiries.

Police will allege the man was driving an Isuzu truck at the time the cyclist was fatally hit.

He was charged over an alleged fail-to-stop collision.

He was refused bail and will appear in court today.
