Chelsea are now being linked with a talented attacker that could cost around £35m to sign this summer.

Chelsea do already have a number of skilful wide players on their books, but they’re actually considering adding another winger to their ranks.

The Blues already have the likes of Raheem Sterling, Mykhailo Mudryk, Noni Madueke and Cole Palmer that can play out wide. There’s also Omari Hutchinson that’s just completed a fantastic season-long loan with an Ipswich Town side promoted from the Championship.

Interestingly, Mauricio Pochettino’s side are linked with a player shining in the second tier of English football.

Chelsea interested in signing £35m star

TEAMtalk claims that Chelsea are one of several Premier League clubs that are keen on a potential move for Crysencio Summerville from Championship outfit Leeds United.

It is understood that Chelsea, Liverpool, Aston Villa and Newcastle United are interested in Leeds winger Summerville.

The report says that incoming Liverpool manager Arne Slot really likes the 22-year-old player, so he’s been added to a potential list of targets for him when he’s expected to take charge at Anfield next season.

TEAMtalk further adds that Leeds would likely hold out for around £35m before selling their talisman.

Apparently, Summerville is happy at Elland Road and not looking to leave the Yorkshire club, regardless of if they get promoted or not via the Championship play-offs that they’re competing in. But if Leeds accepted a big-money offer, it could change his mind.

Crysencio Summerville has scored more than Raheem Sterling and Noni Madueke combined

Yes, Summerville has only been in the second division this campaign. It’s still quite some achievement to score 20 goals and make 10 assists across all competitions so far, though.

For context, Chelsea wingers Raheem Sterling (nine) and Noni Madueke (eight) have scored 17 goals between them this season.

The Chelsea Chronicle does view Dutch youngster Summerville as a very intriguing target, especially at just £35m. However, it may make more sense to stick with the collection of wingers already at Stamford Bridge, with transfer focus going on a new central defender, goalkeeper or striker.

Described as “unbelievable” by Dan James (LUTV), Summerville is good enough for the Premier League. But who will he be playing for next season?
