Chelsea are now being linked with a Serie A forward who’s renowned for his lightning pace.

The summer transfer window in the Premier League officially opens in one week on 14 June, but it sounds like Chelsea’s recruitment team is already extremely busy behind the scenes.

On top of the various bits of transfer speculation, the Blues have already confirmed their first summer signing.

It’s been announced on Friday morning that English defender Tosin Adarabioyo has signed a four-year deal with Chelsea, which will officially begin on 1 July.

So, how many more players will join Tosin at Stamford Bridge in the summer window?

Chelsea like Italian attacker

According to TuttoJuve, Chelsea or one of a few Premier League clubs that are interested in signing Juventus star Federico Chiesa this summer.

It is explained that the 26-year-old’s future in Turin is uncertain, much will depend on discussions with his Serie A team.

The report says that Chelsea, Arsenal and Newcastle United are potential suitors for the Italy international.

Apparently, if sold, Juventus would demand at least €40m/€45m (£34m/£38m).

When Chiesa is fit and on top of his game, £38m does seem like a potential bargain for any club.

It was a fairly average 2023/24 season for the versatile attacker, scoring 10 goals in 37 Juventus games across all competitions.

Federico Chiesa is electric on his day

The Chelsea Chronicle does highly rate Juventus forward Chiesa, especially when he puts on the famous Italian blue shirt and represents his country.

Speaking via beIN SPORTS last year, Giorgio Chiellini said that Chiesa’s “pace is amazing”.

The Chelsea target can play anywhere across the frontline, but he’s particularly effective from the left wing when he’s running 1v1 at a full-back.

Unfortunately, we’re not sure Chiesa is the most suitable attacking target when you compare him to some of the other names linked with a potential move to Stamford Bridge.
