Chelsea could watch one of their star players join one of their London rivals this summer.

There are likely to be quite a few exits at Chelsea this season, largely because of profit and sustainability rules.

Thiago Silva‘s departure has already been confirmed, while there are doubts surrounding the futures of Conor Gallagher and Raheem Sterling.

Gallagher’s contract is running down, while Sterling has been linked with a move to MLS.

The Blues will definitely be one club to keep an eye on during the summer transfer window.

Three London clubs want Chelsea star

Silva, Gallagher and Sterling have all been key players for Mauricio Pochettino this season, and you only have to look at the number of appearances that they have made to know that.

However, Pochettino will certainly have to do without Silva next term after it was confirmed that the central defender will be leaving Chelsea in the summer.

In terms of where Silva could end up, it looks like he has the chance to join one of Chelsea’s London rivals.

According to TNT Sports, three clubs from the capital have made proposals to the Brazilian.

Player Games played this season
Conor Gallagher 45
Raheem Sterling 40
Thiago Silva 34

What Premier League interest in Thiago Silva shows

Despite being 39 now, Silva is still a very good player. In fact, former Everton midfielder Leon Osman recently hailed him as an “outstanding footballer”.

Considering that, the London clubs who are interested in Silva are likely to be from the Premier League.

Their interest shows that the former Paris Saint-Germain captain can still play at this level. He has played just under 35 times this season, which also proves that.

Why, then, are Chelsea letting him go when they already have such an inexperienced squad? Silva should have been offered a new contract. It is another huge mistake by the Todd Boehly and Clearlake Capital regime.
