Chelsea supporters have no doubt had an eye on what is going on at Euro 2024, watching both their players and potential transfer targets.

Some of their current first team stars have endured rough starts to the competition, with Mykhailo Mudryk’s Ukraine being on the wrong end of a damning defeat in their opening game.

Romelu Lukaku had a game to forget for Belgium too, while Cole Palmer was an unused substitute for England despite the sensational domestic campaign he enjoyed.

This has left some to keep an eye on other players who they have been previously linked with signing, and who they could potentially add in the future.

During Portugal’s dramatic win against Czech Republic, left winger Rafael Leao was one of the stars of the show keeping the width for his country.

Chelsea fans impressed with Rafael Leao

Having previously been a top target for the Blues, supporters took to Twitter to share that they would love to see him make the move to Stamford Bridge.

One user said: “I’d be breaking the bank to bring rafael Leao to Chelsea, would have been a done deal last summer.”

Another added: “Rafael Leao is such a baller need him at Chelsea so badly.”

A third claimed: “Leao would be the perfect Left winger for this Chelsea team.”

Another user stated: “Leao is THE GUY Chelsea should’ve gone for at 1st place. Was cheaper than Mudryk back then before signing a contract at Milan with a release clause…”

Finally, one said: “I just want Leão to wear the Chelsea shirt once in his career. Such a player on the left.”

The AC Milan man was strongly linked with a move to West London 12 months ago, however the Blues looked a different direction in that role as they signed both Raheem Sterling and Mudryk.

The former is reportedly wanted to be sold by the ownership this summer, however the England international is reportedly preparing for a pre-season campaign under new manager Enzo Maresca.

As for the opposite side, it has been reported that they are prioritising a deal for Michael Olise, although are facing tough competition for his signature from fellow elite clubs.
