There’s a 23-year-old player currently in Chelsea’s squad that the club values as an ‘integral’ individual moving forward.
The Blues have assembled an expensive but young group in recent transfer windows, so everyone is keen to see how this strategy plays out in time.
It now falls on new head coach Enzo Maresca, 44, to get the best out of this talented squad.
When you think about the key players at Stamford Bridge, 24-year-old club captain Reece James instantly springs to mind. The same could be said about 22-year-old attacker Cole Palmer after what he achieved as an individual last season, too.

Chelsea believe Nicolas Jackson is pivotal
GiveMeSport claims that Chelsea view their striker Nicolas Jackson as ‘integral’ to the project at Stamford Bridge.
The report adds that suggestions he was included in a proposal for Newcastle star Alexander Isak is untrue.
Jackson, who earns £65,000-a-week (Spotrac), made a positive impact last year during his debut campaign in English football.
He emerged as the first-choice striker for Chelsea last season, scoring 17 goals across all competitions.
Speaking via talkSPORT earlier this week, Simon Jordan suggested Nicolas Jackson is one of the reasons Chelsea failed last season.
However, we definitely disagree with that idea. In fact, he’s built a solid foundation going into his second season.
A big second year
The Chelsea Chronicle would like to see another forward signed to provide competition at the top end of the pitch, but that’s not to say Jackson still can’t have a big year.
It would be great to see him target 20 goals across all competitions next season.
If he can just brush up on his finishing, we think that’s definitely realistic as well because his movement is eye-catching.
Jackson, 23, is definitely capable of continuing to silence his doubters.
