Chelsea may need to act fast if they still want to sign one of their targets this summer amid strong interest from Paris Saint-Germain.

It is a transfer window where Chelsea have not actually been slow. They have already brought in several new players, including Renato Veiga and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall.

However, the Blues have not been able to sign a new striker yet who is guaranteed to play under new manager Enzo Maresca this upcoming season.

They have been linked with multiple centre-forwards. For example, earlier this week, it was reported that Chelsea wanted talks with Victor Osimhen. As of now, though, the club have not managed to get anything over the line.

Chelsea could miss out on Victor Osimhen to Paris Saint-Germain

Chelsea are not the only club who are interested in Osimhen. PSG and Luis Enrique also seem to be keen on the 25-year-old, and Fabrizio Romano has given an update on his future on X.

Discussing Osimhen’s current situation, the transfer expert said: “Paris Saint-Germain have Osimhen’s green light to project/move, work in progress on contract details.”

There is a possibility that Napoli could sell Osimhen for €100m (£84m) this summer, which would be less than his release clause.

If the Nigerian actually is available for around that price, you can easily imagine Chelsea’s interest becoming even more serious.

Chelsea can get green light from Victor Osimhen too

Right now, it looks like PSG are winning the race for Osimhen after getting the green light from the player.

However, there are not too many reasons for the Nigeria international to say no to Chelsea. The Blues may not have qualified for the Champions League, but they are still a top Premier League club.

While he may be open to a switch to PSG, Osimhen wants to play in the Premier League, a desire he has talked about in the past.

That is good news for Chelsea. But again, given that the French champions are going after him, the Blues may have to get a move on if they want to add him to Maresca‘s squad this summer.
