One Chelsea player looks unlikely to jeopardise his potential move to another club this summer by asking for a silly contract.
Chelsea‘s transfer business is not done yet it seems. There could still be at least a couple of more departures, with the club still needing to offload the likes of Romelu Lukaku and Kepa Arrizabalaga.
Kepa is waiting for Real Madrid to make a move for him after spending last season there on loan.
As for Lukaku. After playing for AS Roma and Inter Milan, it looks like he could now join another Italian club in the form of Napoli.

Romelu Lukaku’s contract will not be an issue for Napoli
Napoli could sign Lukaku for £21m this summer as they prepare for a potential Victor Osimhen exit.
And his contract will not be a problem for the Serie A outfit, according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.
Speaking about Napoli and Lukaku on his YouTube channel, he said: “The top target for Napoli remains Romelu Lukaku. Napoli want to go for Lukaku and Lukaku wants to go to Napoli.
“So the feeling is mutual, the contract is not a problem. A three-year deal has already been discussed with his agents.”
Romelu Lukaku will have to take pay cut at Napoli
Lukaku joining Napoli will only be possible if the player is open to a significant pay cut, which does appear to be the case.
At Stamford Bridge, the Belgian is on a £325,000-a-week contract (Spotrac). Napoli will not be able to afford anything close to that figure.
Those are not wages that Lukaku warrants either. He is now 31 years of age and really struggled at Euro 2024. In fact, Lukaku was in a worst Euro 2024 XI, showing just how poorly he performed during the tournament.
One bad European Championship does not make the Belgium international a bad striker, though. But what it does show is that he is not at the peak of his powers right now and is definitely not deserving of a £325,000-a-week salary.
Chelsea need to get that off their books, and Napoli could help them do just that should Osimhen depart Antonio Conte’s side this summer. The Nigerian has been linked to both Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain.
