MAFS experts are called out by fans for pairing couples who are ‘doomed to fail’ because they live so far apart – as Cam and Lyndall struggle to navigate a long-distance relationship

Married At First Sight viewer have hit out at the show’s relationship experts for setting up couples to fail by matching contestants who live in different states.

On the show on Wednesday, Lyndall Grace and Cam Woods seemed unsure about their future together, as one of them would have to move as they are based in Western Australia and the Northern Territory respectively.

One fan took to the Married At First Sight Australia fans Facebook page to vent their frustration at the pairing.

‘It continues to amaze me why they would match people who live so far away from each other,’ they began.

‘It’s not so bad for young people starting out, but people in their 30s etc have established careers. They’re already set in their ways and this just adds more conflict,’ they added.

Another fan added underneath: ‘Yep! And putting Lyndall who needs constant specialist medical care with someone who lives out bush for months on end was just plain stupidity.’

‘They should match people living in the same street at least,’ another said.

‘I couldn’t agree more. Two questions that matter most – do you want children and would you move? Um they kind of matter pretty majorly!’ another added.

Lyndall and Cam, 27, were left unsure about their future this week when they discussed if one of them would move for the other.

Lyndall, who has cystic fibrosis and lives in WA, appeared upset as Cam was asked about their situation at a dinner party.

‘What’s the point of moving, why would you move from Perth away from all your family when I’m not gonna be in Darwin — I’ll still be out remote?’ Cam said, adding that he loves his job and career.

On the show earlier this month, Lyndall was ‘p**sed’ during one episode of MAFS when her mother-in-law accused her of being insecure for wanting more affection from her husband Cam.

It has since been revealed that Lyndall had a post-show fling with Josh White, which reportedly ended on bad terms.

The pair, who hooked up at a cast wrap party before reuniting in Perth for a secret rendezvous, are ‘no longer on speaking terms’, sources confirmed earlier this month.

Josh, 40, is said to have ended things after discovering Lyndall, 27, had a ‘secret boyfriend’ she hadn’t told him about.

He learned about her other relationship after flying out from Sydney to spend the Australia Day weekend with her in late January.

Their brief romance and subsequent break-up was described to Daily Mail Australia by one cast member as ‘messy AF’ from the start.
