A Louisiana man was sentenced to 45 years in prison on Wednesday after he to kidnap and attempted to murder gay teens Jeffrey Dahmer style in attempt to ‘satisfy a compulsive murder-fantasy.’

Chance Seneca, 21, pleaded guilty in September on kidnapping charges after it was revealed he used the Grindr dating app and Snapchat to persuade men into meeting with the goal of ‘murdering and dismembering’ them.

Seneca spent months perfecting his murder-kidnapping plan to mirror Dahmer’s actions of targeting gay men, killing them and eating and preserving their bodies, the Department of Justice wrote in a press release.

The attempted serial killer’s first victim was then 18-year-old Holden White – who Seneca successfully coaxed and used several methods in attempt to kill him.

‘The facts of this case are truly shocking, and the defendant’s decision to specifically target gay men is a disturbing reminder of the unique prejudices and dangers facing the LGBTQ+ community today,’ Assistant Attorney General Kristen Clarke said.

Seneca, who is also gay, drove White to an isolated Lafayette Parish home where he took out a handgun and forced the victim to put on handcuffs on June 19, 2020.

White was then was stabbed, strangled and battered by Seneca until the kidnapper believed he was dead.

‘Seneca then attempted to dismember him,’ the press release reads.

While it appeared Seneca had plans to attack other gay men, he then called Lafayette police and confessed to killing a man. The police affidavit read that Seneca requested to be put into a mental institution.

A hammer, a saw and an ice pick were discovered at the crime scene.

White was able to survive the attack and spent days in a coma and about a month in the hospital.

It was later revealed that Seneca also used the dating app to meet with another gay man the night before White was attacked – but he chose to allow the man to survive.

He attended the hearing and spoke about the physical and mental lingering pain of the attack, including the loss of feeling in his left hand, according to The Advocate.

While Seneca was sentenced to decades in prison, White fears that it isn’t enough.

‘I’m scared for me and for other future victims he might harm,’ White said. ‘I’m scared an 18-year-old, like I was, will have their life forever changed by a date… I don’t need anyone getting hurt the way that I did.’
