Saturday Night Takeaway fans cry with laughter over ‘chaotic’ Ring My Bell game

Saturday Night Takeaway fans were left crying with laughter during this weekend’s show when a game of Ring My Bell descended into absolute chaos. 

The hilarious segment saw hosts Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly go live to the front door’s of audience members via their Ring door bell camera. 

The neighbours then had 45 seconds to race to the door, with an object of the presenter’s choice, and shout ‘ring my bell’ as they battled to win £500. 

After recognising their front door, one audience member shouted ‘Ding Dong! That’s my doorbell!’ and set the game into motion. 

But as the neighbours sprinted round, carrying their dirty laundry, an elderly woman named Cynthia was seen with her ear pressed against the camera.

Unfortunately, the confused lady forgot to bring the requested item so missed out on the prize money, but refused to move from the door.  

Viewers were in stitches over the scenes as Ant and Dec shouted at Cynthia to move out of the way while groups of other neighbours appeared carrying their laundry. 

‘This is absolute chaos! Cynthia get out the bl***y way!’ one person shared to Twitter. 

Another added: ‘Aww god bless Cynthia she’s made me proper belly laugh sticking her ear to the door bell.’

‘NO! Ring My Bell is the most chaotic thing on television, I love it!’ A third fan posted.  

Someone else shared: ‘The wee lady on Ant & Dec at the person’s door…I’m crying with laughter here.’

‘Cynthia has just become a national treasure,’ another laughed. 

One social media user branded the game ‘comedy gold’ while another viewer said it was ‘live TV at its finest.’

Last week, Toni Collette shocked viewers of Saturday Night Takeaway as she accidentally swore while appearing on the live episode.

The Australian actress, 50, was on the weekly show as a guest host, but got flustered during her chaotic first segment as she accidentally let the profanity slip.

Hosts Ant and Dec were left slightly red-faced too after the moment as they had to issue an apology to viewers for the language.

But appearing to see the funny side, a wave of fans took to social media to jest that the slip-up was ‘hilarious’.
