Touring electronic music festival Ultra has kicked off with a bang in Melbourne with revellers braving the dreary weather by donning their brightest clothes ready to dance the night away.
Spirits were high as attendees flocked to Sidney Myer Music Bowl on Saturday for the highly-anticipated one-night-only event.
The wet weather wasn’t enough to put a damper on the crowd’s excitement for the show.
Australian DJ Darley kicked off the festivities with a set on the main stage, followed by appearances from Jonas Blue, Acraze and Sub Zero Project.

Darren Styles took over the main stage at 7.20pm, followed by Aussie musician Timmy Trumpet before closing act Dutch DJ Hardwell took to the stage at 9.30pm
Bright colours, fake furs and meshy fabrics were all the rage among attendees but the go-to accessory for most was an umbrella or raincoat.
Melbourne saw a very drizzly day on Saturday with grey clouds and temperatures below 20C.
Those who decided to brave the weather were seen hiding under their coats and running through the rain.

However, the music festival crowd were all smiles as they made their way through the event gates and into the outdoor venue.
But the rain was bad news for Victoria Police with one of its vans spotted bogged in nearby fields.
Police tried pushing the van from the front before several attendees rushed over to help.
The group pushed from the vehicle’s back and doors to free it from the mud.

Ultra, a one-night-only event, had four stages setup around the venue – the main stage, Resistance stage, UMF Radio stage and Ultra Park stage.
All tickets for the event, from $155 general admission to $300 VIP tickets, were sold out by Friday night.
The festival wrapped up by with closing support act Spice.
Ultra Australia is an outdoor electronic music festival first held in Melbourne in 2018 which has since expanded to 23 countries.
