A man in a wheelchair has died after falling onto the tracks at Central Station this afternoon, with delays to Sydney Train services. 

The man, believed to be in his thirties, was rushed to hospital, but unfortunately passed away.

It is understood the man was on a mobility scooter fell when he fell from platform 18 about 2.30pm on Wednesday.

There was no train at the platform or nearby at the time he fell.

NSW Police say he was rushed to the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital where he died.

Sydney Train commuters are being warned to expect delays on the T1, T2, T3, T8 and T9 services.
