Dylan Mulvaney shared a video of herself excitedly bouncing up and down on an inflatable during a trip to the South of France as she celebrated 500 days of ‘being a girl.’

The LA-based transgender influencer, 26, enjoyed the warm weather by the seaside in a baby blue floral swim cap, a lick of lime green eye shadow and blue and white striped bathers.

The video was marked by a milestone for Mulvaney who revealed it was day 500 of coming out to the world as female.

But her paradise break came after she shared details of the ‘trauma’ she said she’d suffered in the wake of being gifted a special can of Bud Light to mark a year of being a woman, which triggered a conservative firestorm and tanked the brand.

‘I’m having the best day ever, I’ve got my piña colada, it’s my second one I’m in France. Bonjour,’ she says before a montage of the TiKTok star launches to the sound of La Mer by Chantal Chamberland.

While Mulvaney appeared elated on her vacation, day 500 was marred by lingering controversy connected to a promotional partnership with Bud Light in April.

In a video posted just days prior, Mulvaney revealed the ‘trauma’ and ‘lessons’ she’d learnt in her journey becoming a woman – more importantly after day 365 when she posted the promotion.

The partnership has seen Anheuser-Busch lose $27 billion in market cap value since the advert for March Madness.

The 26-year-old shared a clip with her 11 million TikTok followers Wednesday highlighting that she’d always felt like a woman, even as early as the age of four.

In the seven-minute clip, Mulvaney said: ‘Day 500 is dedicated to my younger self who didn’t get to celebrate so many awesome discoveries because I was just hoping to get by.

‘Today is actually day 9,705 of being a woman, because I’ve always been one.’

While the 26-year-old didn’t mention the Bud Light backlash by name she said: ‘I learnt more since day 365 than I did that whole first year.’

‘If I make the content that I want to make, and freely share my trans joy, I subject myself to a lot more trauma,’ she added.

‘So lately, I’ve chosen to scale back in order to protect my overall well-being, and it works.

‘I am quite happy, but I’m not doing what I love, so it’s kind of a bittersweet thing.’

Mulvaney, who was born male, began to document her gender transition in March 2022 in a daily series of videos published on TikTok.

She spoke about what she has learnt since the one-year mark in Wednesday’s video and said on day 387 she realized that ‘trust is something that should be earned.’

On day 398 she discovered that ‘misery loves company’ and on day 422 she said hormone injections ‘worked better… than pills.’

Feminizing hormone therapy is used for those transitioning from male to female. It requires injections, once or twice a week, which help to block testosterone and increase estrogen.

Mulvaney said: ‘It’s been really beautiful to watch my body change.

‘But something really ugly happened these last few months where I started to believe that if I just got really pretty and if I stayed quiet, I could still find success.’

Bud Light – once America’s favorite beer – lost its title for the top spot to Modelo following the controversial partnership with Mulvaney.

Its parent company Anheuser-Busch announced its decision to lay off about two percent of its US workforce in a statement released by Anheuser-Busch CEO Brendan Whitworth this week.

There are around 19,000 people employed by the company in the US, meaning approximately 380 staff are set to lose their jobs.

‘Today we took the very difficult but necessary decision to eliminate a number of positions across our corporate organization,’ Whitworth said.

‘While we never take these decisions lightly, we want to ensure that our organization continues to be set for future long-term success,’ he added.

Workers who are laid off will receive severance pay, paid out of their unused vacation time, receive six months of continued company-paid health insurance benefits and help finding a new job, according to an email sent to employees Wednesday.

The restructuring ‘will simplify and reduce layers within its organization,’ a spokesperson said.

But, the layoffs will not affect frontline workers, such as ‘brewery and warehouse staff, drivers, and field sales reps among others.’

The company faced a boycott from all sides of the political spectrum, though it was largely centered around those with conservatives politics.

Mulvaney hit out at Bud Light last month and said its lack of response to the backlash has ‘given customers permission to be as transphobic and as hateful as they want.’

She revealed it has led to her being ‘ridiculed in public’ and that she’d ‘felt a loneliness that I wouldn’t wish on anyone.’
