Laura Woods has been left baffled after Instagram sent her a warning for using ‘hate’ speech.

An avid Arsenal fan, the former talkSPORT presenter featured in one of the Gunners’ promotional videos announcing Declan Rice’s signing.

With the caption ‘He’s here… and he’s perfect’, she shared the film on her Instagram account.

However, rival fans were quick to share their views in the comments, with some believing Arsenal have overpaid in their £105million deal.

The user said: “Embarrassing messing about by a pathetic club who know they’ve deliberately unsettled a player and now want him on the cheap because they know he’s another [Harry] Maguire, barely worth half what they have agreed to pay.”

Woods replied: “None of this makes any sense, want him on the cheap? Just paid over £100m for him you sausage.”

However, her response appears to have violated Instagram’s code of conduct as the social media site removed her comment.

They claim that it went against their ‘guidelines on hate speech or symbols’, and Woods unsurprisingly appeared confused.

She screenshotted the warning, posted it on her story and with a laughing emoji said: “Is ‘sausage’ classed as hate speech these days?”

Woods may now have tread a little more carefully on Instagram when replying to her followers if such rules are anything to go by.

After leaving talkSPORT in June she is now preparing for her new presenting adventures, starting with the Women’s World Cup.

She will front ITV’s coverage of the tournament in Australia and New Zealand having done the same in Qatar for the men’s competition.

Upon the return of club football, Woods is set to be announced as a new presenter on TNT Sports.

She will replace Jake Humphrey in the studio for the broadcaster whose name will soon switch from BT Sport.
