Pedestrian is killed after being hit by a truck at busy Melbourne intersection

A pedestrian has been hit by a truck and killed on a busy strip in Melbourne on Tuesday.

The pedestrian, who is yet to be formally identified, was near the intersection of Burwood Rd and Power St in Hawthorn around 9am this morning when they got hit by a truck.

They died at the scene.
