Donald Trump left his golf club in Bedminster, New Jersey, and jetted off to Florida on Monday morning to prepare for his unprecedented arraignment in the classified documents case.
The Republican 2024 frontrunner was seen getting into his motorcade to begin the journey to the Sunshine State ahead of his showdown with a judge at 3pm on Tuesday.
He also posted a slew of messages on Truth Social threatening to appoint a ‘real’ special prosecutor to investigate Joe Biden – who he called the ‘most corrupt president in history’ – and tearing into ‘radical left lunatics’.
The former president is facing 37 federal charges according to a bombshell indictment unsealed on Friday detailing how he left sensitive files scattered over Mar-a-Lago and allegedly instructed his attorneys to lie to investigators.
Trump is set to meet with his attorneys before staying at his Trump National Doral hotel in Miami overnight ahead of his court appearance in the morning.

As his motorcade made its way to Newark Airport, he posted: ‘I HOPE THE ENTIRE COUNTRY IS WATCHING WHAT THE RADICAL LEFT LUNATICS ARE DOING TO AMERICA, AND ALL WE STAND FOR. WE ARE A NATION IN SERIOUS DECLINE, AND IT WILL ONLY GET WORSE. p.s. CHINA JUST, EFFECTIVELY, TOOK OVER CUBA. WOULD NEVER HAVE HAPPENED UNDER THE TRUMP ADMINISTRATION!’
He then vowed to bring in his own special counsel to investigate Biden if he wins the 2024 election.
In all caps, he wrote: ‘NOW THAT THE “SEAL” IS BROKEN, IN ADDITION TO CLOSING THE BORDER & REMOVING ALL OF THE “CRIMINAL” ELEMENTS THAT HAVE ILLEGALLY INVADED OUR COUNTRY, MAKING AMERICA ENERGY INDEPENDENT, & EVEN DOMINANT AGAIN, & IMMEDIATELY ENDING THE WAR BETWEEN RUSSIA & UKRAINE, I WILL APPOINT A REAL SPECIAL “PROSECUTOR” TO GO AFTER THE MOST CORRUPT PRESIDENT IN THE HISTORY OF THE USA, JOE BIDEN, THE ENTIRE BIDEN CRIME FAMILY, & ALL OTHERS INVOLVED WITH THE DESTRUCTION OF OUR ELECTIONS, BORDERS, & COUNTRY ITSELF!’
Law enforcement in Miami has started to ramp up security around the federal courthouse after Trump called for protests and in preparations for any rallies by his supporters.
The 49-page indictment on Friday contained photos of boxes of files on the stage of the ballroom and beside the shower in his private Palm Beach pub.
He says the charges against him are another ‘witch hunt’.
But the indictment alleges that he willfully lied to the Department of Justice, got his lawyers to go along with his scheme and even boasted about having documents he knew he shouldn’t have.
Of the 37 counts against Trump, 31 of them relate to secret and top secret classified documents that he kept after leaving the White House in early 2021.

Even if Trump theoretically became a convicted felon or went to prison, he would not be legally prohibited from running for president.
And he confirmed that a conviction would not slow him in his tracks during his 2024 campaign.
As of June 9, Trump is still the polling favorite among the Republican candidates – with a 32 point clearance from second place, Ron DeSantis.
