Patrick Whitesell, an American businessman and executive chairman of Endeavor, was born on February 4, 1965. He joined the Endeavor Talent Agency and became a partner in February 2001, where he also served on the agency’s Executive Committee.

His parents are John Patrick “Jack” Whitesell and Patricia Whitesell. He has four brothers: Thomas Whitesell, Christopher Whitesell, Jim Whitesell (a college basketball coach), and John Whitesell (a film and television director).

Whitesell graduated from high school in Iowa Falls in 1983. He completed his education at Luther College in Iowa in 1987.

Patrick Whitesell got his start in the working world by sorting mail at the talent agency InterTalent. During his two years with InterTalent, he worked his way up from the mail department to an agency job and eventually became an agent at United Talent Agency.

He worked for United for two years before switching to Creative Artists Agency, where he remained for another five. He started as an agent at Creative Artists and eventually became the head of the talent division.

Patrick joined Endeavor 2001, a talent agency. Later, he would play a crucial role in the team that planned the agency’s harmonious union with the William Morris Agency. He shared the role of CEO with Ari Emanuel for a while.

Private equity firm Silver Lake helped finance the company’s acquisition of IMG. After closing the deal, Silver Lake received 51% ownership in the enlarged advertising firm. Together with his initial partners, Ari Emmanuel Patrick Whitesell now owns 47% of the company.

WME is currently worth around $10 billion, according to conservative estimates. Patrick’s share of the company is worth $400 million before taxes at that price. Ari and Patrick were offered 10-year job contracts with yearly base salaries of $10 million when Silver Lake invested.
