Susan Page’s Biography
Susan Lea Page was born on February 12, 1951, and she’s from Wichita, Kansas. She’s an American journalist, political commentator, and writer.
She went to Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism and got a master’s degree as a Pulitzer Fellow. She also studied at Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism and was the top editor at the Daily Northwestern.
When she was in school, Susan loved both music and writing. She played the oboe in school orchestras and even started learning it when she was in the third grade.
She also wrote and edited for her high school’s newspaper called The Stampede, and she was the leader of the yearbook at her school called The Hoofbeats. Even though she thought about going to music school, she chose journalism and went to Northwestern University.

Page has interviewed ten presidents and covered seven White House presidencies and eleven presidential elections. She established and serves as anchor of the “Capital Download” video newsmaker series for USA Today.
She routinely appears as a commentator on cable news networks and frequently serves as a guest host on The Diane Rehm Show, broadcast on National Public Radio. She was the first female to hold the position of music chairman for the Gridiron Club show, the oldest group of journalists in Washington, and she served as the club’s president in 2011.
In 2000, she served as the White House Correspondents Association’s president. She has served twice as the Robert F. Kennedy Journalism Awards chairman and Pulitzer Prize jury member.
