Keeli Long is Xavien Howard’s fiancée. They have not, however, decided to marry and become husband and wife. Keeli has kept her public profile low and her personal information private.

Howard allegedly got into an argument with his girlfriend, with whom he shares three children, at their Davie home over a purse. When their argument became physical, he allegedly grabbed her by both arms and “pushed her back up against the mirror glass wall” in their hallway.

According to Davie police, he released the woman and she fell to the ground, landing with her right arm on top of his crutch from a recent knee surgery.

The fall caused visible scrapes, redness, and bruises on her right wrist, forearm, and elbow, according to police.

Howard was jailed at the Dave Police Department in Broward County at the time of his arrest in Miami. He spent some time in the Broward County Sheriff’s Office jail upon his release before making things suitable with Keeli and leaving.

Xavien Howard of the Miami Dolphins is now the target of a hefty lawsuit after a lady claimed he intentionally gave her a transmitted disease.

She requested more than $30,000 in damages in an unidentified woman’s complaint filed in Broward County Circuit Court. According to court filings, she also demands that a jury be present for the lawsuit’s trial.

Early in 2018, Xavien Howard and Jane Doe had their first interaction at a Quest Diagnostics facility, where Howard asked her date, according to the lawsuit. He even displayed his negative test results when he initially assured her he was STD-free.

According to the lawsuit, Howard did not inform the woman when he discovered he had genital herpes in 2019. Instead, he continued to stand by his claim that he had had multiple tests and had not gotten any STDs.

The woman claims that she found she had the STD in March 2021 and recognized Howard as the “only person who might have transferred” it to her. According to the lawsuit, Howard initially refuted Doe’s claims but eventually acknowledged his STD awareness and apologized.

Xavien Howard agreed to a five-year, $90,000,000 contract with the Miami Dolphins, which included a $13,770,000 signing bonus, $36,300,000 in guarantees, and an average yearly salary of $18,000,000.

However, it appears that they agreed to overlook that contract and sign this one as a new contract replacing the prior one. Howard’s previous contract had three years still to run, and the new money average for this contract is $25.35 million.

The fully guaranteed contract for $16.985 million in 2023 included Howard’s $13.77 million signing bonus. Howard became the highest-paid cornerback in the NFL on May 9, 2019, when he agreed to a five-year, $76.5 million contract extension with the Dolphins, with $46 million guaranteed.

In 2016, he was chosen as the sixth cornerback overall. Along with Byron Maxwell, he was given the starting cornerback position to begin the regular season.

First-time second-team All-Pro and Pro Bowl honors were given to Howard. He received his first-ever first-team All-Pro recognition on January 8, 2021.

Howard stated in July 2021 that he had asked the Dolphins for a transfer because he felt unappreciated and underpaid. He also added, “I am only here so I don’t get fined,” in reference to his attendance at training camp. Howard’s contract was modified by the Dolphins on August 8 so that incentives and bonuses would make him the highest-paid cornerback in 2021.

Due to his outstanding season, cornerback Xavien Howard played in the 2018 Pro Bowl. Howard has recorded seven interceptions in 2018, which ties him with Chicago Bears cornerback Kyle Fuller for the NFL lead, despite missing the last two games due to a knee injury.

He recorded his first NFL interception on consecutive defensive snaps since 2016 against the Colts.  His selection extended Miami’s run of 21 seasons in a row with a defensive player chosen for the Pro Bowl.

Howard is now the seventh Dolphins’ active roster member to have been selected for the Pro Bowl. Howard joins Sam Madison, Patrick Surtain, and Brent Grimes as the only other Dolphins cornerbacks to be chosen for the Pro Bowl and to start the game.

On January 8, 2017, Howard earned his first career playoff start as the Miami Dolphins lost to the Pittsburgh Steelers in the AFC Wild Card Round. For his play against the Patriots, he was named AFC Defensive Player of the Week. The Dolphins lost 24-16 to the Buffalo Bills on December 17, 2017, despite Howard making his first career sack of quarterback Tyrod Taylor.
