In 2022, he got treatment that made it hard for him to perform. Sadly, Chris Peluso passed away on August 16, 2023. People loved him for what he brought to the world of theater.

The Musical Theatre of Michigan confirmed his passing, and Linda Goodrich, from the University of Michigan, announced the sad news.
