Darren Kent, a British actor who was in well-known shows like “Game of Thrones” and “EastEnders,” has sadly passed away at the age of 36.
His talent agency, Carey Dodd Associates, shared with USA TODAY that Kent “passed away last Friday, August 11, 2023, with his family and close friends around him.”

There’s no information about why he passed away, but he had some rare health problems like a skin disease, osteoporosis, and arthritis during his career. The people who knew him say he had a really strong spirit and loved life a lot. People will remember him not only for his acting skills but also for being a friendly and kind friend.
Kent was born and grew up in Essex, England. He started acting in 2004 on a funny show called “Shameless” and in 2008 in a horror movie called “Mirrors,” where Kiefer Sutherland acted.
In the end of Season 4 of “Game of Thrones” in 2014, he played a role as a goatherd. In that part, he showed a character named Daenerys Targaryen, played by Emilia Clarke, the body of his child that got burned by one of her dragons.
Kent also played roles in the TV show “Les Miserables” that aired in 2018 and 2019, as well as the British soap opera “EastEnders.” Recently, he was in a funny part with Chris Pine in a movie called “Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves.” In that movie, he acted as a body that came back to life but didn’t help much. The director of the movie, Jonathan Goldstein, wrote a nice message about Kent on a platform called X (which used to be known as Twitter). He said Kent was a “sweet, talented, funny actor who left us too early.”
Kent was also someone who made films and he finished his studies at the Italia Conti Stage School in 2007. In 2021, he directed an episode of a TV show called “The Break” that was on the BBC.
