In April 2007, Elise Finch, a meteorologist who has won an Emmy award, became a part of the CBS New York weather team. Before joining CBS, she worked as a meteorologist for NBC on shows like “Early Today Show,” MSNBC, and NBC Weather Plus.
Elise Finch had also worked as a weekend weather anchor for the CBS affiliate in Phoenix, Arizona, before moving to NBC. She gained experience as an anchor and reporter for ABC in Austin, Minnesota, as well as CBS and FOX affiliates in Youngstown, Ohio.
Her career in television began at E! Entertainment Television, where she worked behind-the-scenes as a production coordinator for special initiatives and live events.
Elise Finch Death
On July 16, 2023, Elise Finch, a weather reporter for WCBS, sadly passed away. The exact cause of her death is still unknown. The Mayor, Shawyn Patterson-Howard, shared this heartbreaking news on Facebook.
She wrote,
“It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved daughter, sister, wife, mother, and friend Elise Dione Finch Henriques on July 16, 2023.
Elise was a beloved daughter of Mount Vernon who proudly served as an ambassador for our community. She worked for WCBS news for 16 years as a meteorologist.
Elise was the Daughter of James and Charlette Finch, Sister of Kiya Finch-Roberts, Mother of Grace and Wife of Graig Henriques. Please keep the family in your prayers.

Elise was a cherished member of the Mount Vernon community and a well-respected meteorologist at WCBS News for 16 years. She was the daughter of James and Charlette Finch, the sister of Kiya Finch-Roberts, the mother of Grace, and the wife of Graig Henriques. The media industry is paying tribute to Elise Finch, a well-known meteorologist who died suddenly at the age of 51. Co-anchor Jessica Moore shared a heartfelt tribute to Finch on social media on Sunday night.
