Recently, the internet has been abuzz with discussions surrounding the racist comments made by Morgan Wallen. The topic has become one of the most searched for on the web.

Morgan, a talented American country music singer and songwriter, rose to fame after participating in the sixth season of The Voice. Initially, he was a part of Usher’s team, but later switched to Adam Levine’s team.

Although Wallen was eliminated during the playoffs, he was able to sign with Panacea Records and released his debut EP, Stand Alone, in 2015.

He then signed with Big Loud in 2016, releasing his first album, If I Know Me, in 2018. The album included hit singles such as Up Down, Whisky Glasses, and Chasin You, and reached the top spot on the Billboard Top Country Albums chart.

There has been a lot of interest among netizens regarding the recent allegations of racist comments made by Morgan Wallen.

The controversy started when TMZ released a video on February 2, 2023, which was recorded on January 31, showing Wallen and some of his companions using a racial slur “ni@@@r” as they approached the door of his house in Nashville.

After the video became public, Wallen issued a statement apologizing for his use of the racist epithet. As a result of the incident, Wallen’s music was briefly removed from the airwaves on several prominent radio networks including SiriusXM Satellite Radio, iHeartRadio, Entercom (now Audacy, Inc.), Cumulus, and Townsquare stations.

Additionally, Wallen’s songs and advertising images were taken down from Apple Music, Pandora, and Spotify’s featured playlists.

However, a week later, Spotify put Walllne’s music back on their playlists. Wallen’s appearances on CMT and the Country Music Association’s platforms were taken down, and his record company Big Loud (and collaborator Republic Records) stopped their recording agreement with him indefinitely.

The Academy of Country Music declared on February 3, 2021, that Morgan and his most recent album, Dangerous: The Double Album, would not be eligible for the 56th Annual Academy of Country Music Awards.

Subsequently, on February 10, 2021, Wallen released a video in which he sincerely apologized and requested that his fans not defend him.

During the singer and songwriter’s early adulthood, Morgan Wallen described feeling lost and unsure of his path.

Following high school, he found work in landscaping but felt disappointed that he couldn’t pursue his baseball career further.

However, he decided to reignite his passion for music and started learning to play the guitar.

Developing a strong affinity for country music, he became particularly drawn to artists like Keith Whitley and Eric Church, whom he admired.

The singer and songwriter aimed to shape his own musical style and inspired the legacy and influence of these artists.

Wallen has a child with his former girlfriend, KT Smith, and their son was born in July 2020. In May 2020, he faced legal trouble when he was arrested for public intoxication and disorderly conduct outside Kid Rock’s bar in downtown Nashville.

He later expressed remorse for his actions and issued an apology on social media regarding the charges.

Wallen was born in Sneedville, Tennessee, on May 13, 1993, to parents Tommy and Lesli Wallen.

His father, Tommy, served as a local church pastor, while his mother, Lesli, worked as a teacher.

During his teenage years, the family relocated to Knoxville, where Morgan completed his education at Gibbs High School.

At school, he played baseball as a pitcher and shortstop, with hopes of pursuing it in college.

However, his plans were derailed when he suffered a torn ulnar collateral ligament during his senior year.

During his childhood, Wallen received piano and violin lessons, and he has exposed to a wide range of music thanks to his father, who introduced him to classic rock.

As he grew older, his musical interests expanded to include bands like Breaking Benjamin and Nickelback, as well as rappers like Lil Wayne.
