Jonathan Yudelman (age 40, born in 1983) is a Postdoctoral Research Scholar and Professor at Arizona State University who taught Great Ideas in Politics and Ethics and Great Debates in American Politics. On May 7, 2024, Jonathan Yudelman, a professor at Arizona State University (ASU), was placed on leave after a clash with a pro-Palestine protester.
Yudelman was walking near campus and saw a pro-Israel rally with flags. Across from them were fewer pro-Hamas protesters shouting about a past attack on Jews and calling Israel a terrorist state.
As Jonathan approached, he argued with a Muslim woman from the pro-Palestine group. Witnesses say he got aggressive and used bad language. The video shows him following her closely as she tries to leave.
People shared the video online, asking ASU to take action. ASU responded by saying they’re investigating. Yudelman is on leave while they look into it.
