Another 16 people have been charged with more than 50 offences after an out-of-control hooning event in Logan, Queensland, earlier this month.

A crowd of almost 400 people gathered on Bourke Street in Waterford West in Logan about 2pm on Saturday, March 9, as some drivers performed dangerous stunts.

Three police vehicles were damaged while officers were inside. The officers were not injured.

Two men were charged on March 11 and remain before the courts.

Now, police have announced a further 16 people will face more than 50 charges collectively after search warrants were executed across Beenleigh, Beaudesert, Regents Park, Loganlea, and Woodridge.

Some face charges including assaulting police, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, and evading police.

Police said such behaviour would not be tolerated. (9News)

Superintendent Mark Thompson said the large group that gathered on March 9 engaged in dangerous driving behaviours that put people in danger.

“These activities are not just reckless; they disturb and endanger the lives of the community and cause significant property damage,” Thompson said.

“This behaviour will not be tolerated, and those responsible will be held accountable.”
