A man has been found dead on a quiet suburban street in Adelaide with police suspecting he was the victim of an assault.
Emergency services were called to Barrpowell St in Welland, a light industrial area in the city’s west, about 1.30am on Wednesday after the man was found unresponsive.
Despite efforts to rouse the man, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
South Australia Police are treating his death as suspicious. It’s understood he may have been assaulted.

Major crime officers, crime scene investigators and western district detectives remained at the scene later Wednesday morning.
Barrpowell St and Musgrave Ave have been closed as the investigation into the circumstances of the man’s death continue.
