Three UberEats delivery riders say they no longer feel safe after being allegedly attacked by a group in Melbourne’s CBD yesterday morning.

The international students have told 9News they were between deliveries when a group of men approached them about 2.10am.

“One of them said ‘I have a knife, I can harm you, I can kill you’,” Alif Kabir Himel said.

The group of men allegedly demanded cigarettes from the trio.

The drivers were forced to take refuge in a nearby Mexican restaurant, where staff helped them.

The trio managed to hold onto their expensive electric bikes.

“We are very scared,” Himel said.

Police were called to the scene and said an 18-year-old Kangaroo Flat man was assisting with their inquiries.

The victims said they were unsure whether they will get back on their bikes following the incident.
