A man has been charged after a group of pedestrians were allegedly hit by a car in Melbourne’s south-east last week.
Police allege a green Ford Mustang accelerated towards a group of pedestrians after an argument in a Thompsons Road carpark in Cranbourne about 6.30pm on Saturday.

Officers believe the driver “subsequently collided with the group”, before allegedly fleeing the scene.

A 23-year-old Bittern woman was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the Mustang, a 24-year-old Cranbourne man, has been charged with multiple offences including reckless causing injury and failing to stop after a collision.

He has been bailed to appear before Frankston Magistrates’ Court at a later date.

Police say a motorbike rider saw the incident and tried to follow the Mustang before he dropped his bike on his leg.

He was taken to hospital.

Police said the investigation into the incident remains ongoing.
