A man has been charged with murder after another man was found in an apartment with serious injuries last month.

The 42-year-old alleged victim was found in an apartment block on Drummond Street in Carlton, Melbourne, with life-threatening injuries on January 17.

He was taken to hospital where he later died.

A 23-year-old man was extradited to Victoria on Friday and was today charged with murder.

He was arrested in Queensland on January 22 for unrelated matters, before Logan Magistrates Court granted his extradition yesterday.

He will face the murder charge at Melbourne Magistrates’ Court tomorrow.

Two teenage boys have also been arrested in relation to the murder.

A 14-year-old boy was arrested on January 18 and was charged with several offences, including intentionally causing injury and unlawful assault.

He was bailed to appear in court at a later date.

A 15-year-old boy was arrested on January 19.

He was charged with affray, unlawful assault and theft.

He was bailed to appear in court at a later date.
