A desperate manhunt is underway for a gang of armed and thirsty thieves who terrorised teenage staff at four fast food outlets in the space of 24 hours.

Astonishing CCTV has emerged of the brazen group’s crime spree at three Hungry Jack’s stores and a McDonald’s across Brisbane‘s southside.

The first incident on Sunday night at a Hungry Jack’s in Springfield captured on CCTV shows male wielding a pistol with two female accomplices following behind him through a back entrance.

One of the female robbers is seen brandishing a large knife before threatening staff while the other is left startled during the raid when she accidently activates the drive-through window.

Police believe the same group stormed a McDonald’s at Rocklea and another two Hungry Jack’s in Salisbury and Algester in the space of 25 minutes the following night.

Separate CCTV of one of Monday night’s robberies shows a trio charging through the front door.

The masked male holds staff at gunpoint while carrying a bag of food as his female accomplices raid the tills.

The group help themselves to drinks and almost slip on the wet tiles as they flee the store.

A white Ford Falcon ute used as a getaway vehicle in the four robberies allegedly stolen days earlier was found abandoned at a Heathwood intersection several hours later.

No employees were physically injured in the robberies but are still traumatised from their frightening ordeals.

Police believe the main three suspects include a man and two women and that their crimes involved an element of coordination and planning.

‘They’re brazen in their actions and we’re treating it quite seriously,’ Acting Detective Inspector Michael Manago told reporters on Tuesday.

‘These are fast food outlets when we have young staff going about making a living.

‘They are all traumatised and shaken by what occurred and we’re offering counselling in that regard to support them.’

Police were unable to say whether the gun involved the robberies was loaded or if it was a replica.

‘Any incident with a firearm or dangerous weapon we are very concerned about.’ Acting Detective Inspector Manago said.

Police are also trying to track down a fourth person involved who waited in the getaway car while the robberies took place.
