  • Mehmet Ehran posts bizarre video online where he appears to drive a cop car
  • In the one-minute video he thanked his ‘mates that are cops’ for the joyride
  • SA Police said they are aware of the video and investigations show it’s ‘fake’

A former bikie turned ‘life coach’ has posted video footage of him apparently taking a police car on a joyride – and then thanked his ‘mates that are cops’.

Mehmet Ehran, 39 is currently on bail for allegedly stalking an Adelaide lawyer but says his ‘mate works for the crime squad’ and gave him access to the patrol car.

On Saturday, South Australian police branded the clip a fake and said none of their staff or vehicles was involved in the post.

But the minute-long video shows Ehran claiming to have been granted access to the cop car, which appears to be kitted out with a laptop, lights and radio.

The video was shared to his TikTok, Instagram and Facebook accounts on Tuesday.

In the clip he said: ‘When your mate works for crime squad … I love these boys so much … thanks boys, I appreciate you giving me a car for a little bit.’

Ehran is seen in the video walking in the dark to a car with flashing red and blue lights on its roof.

As he hops in, buckles up and accelerates away, he says: ‘Not gonna mention names, but, there we go.

‘Sometimes, it’s good to have mates that are cops, I love it.’

He then seems to eavesdrop on what appears to be police communications coming in over the radio before the clip suddenly ends.

His followers said they were confused by the video after it was posted, given Ehran’s previous run-ins with police.

‘Aren’t they the ones for years chasing you? I’m confused,’ one commented.

Erhan responded: ‘The world works [in] mysterious ways, everything in life is confusing until we clear things up ourselves.’

The heavily-tattooed self-help guru insisted to his social media fans that he is not in a gang but teased that follow up to the video could be coming soon.

SA Police told Daily Mail Asutralia that they are aware of the video and said they are ‘satisfied the video is fake’.

Ehran is on bail and yet to plead to one count of unlawful stalking, after comments allegedly made during a civil lawsuit where he represented himself.

It is alleged he sent multiple harassing and threatening emails to a lawyer.

The 39-year-old first made headlines in 2020 when he was prosecuted for failing to take a compulsory Covid-19 test at the South Australia and Victorian border.
