The group broke into a home on Powlett Street in Melbourne at about 11.50pm.
They brandished weapons and threatened three people in the home before leaving.
As they fled, they set a car on fire.
They left the scene in a vehicle.
One of the people inside the home suffered a minor injury, but did not require hospital treatment.
