Dramatic vision emerges of man’s crazed three-hour crime rampage after he stabbed his brother, carjacked a police vehicle and ran over a single mum

A man has broken down in court after he went on a violent thee-hour rampage that included stealing a police car after officers confronted him. 

Elias Natano also mowed a single mum down and stabbed his brother before also running him over during the crime spree in Melbourne‘s north in April, 2021.

The intoxicated man was videoed calling out, ‘You’ll have to put a bullet in me, boy’ as officers backed off before he opened the car door and drove off. 

Police were forced to chase after their own vehicle with Natano clocking 225km/h in the brazen carjacking.

The violent rampage came to an end after he crashed the patrol car and was bitten by a police dog.

Authorities first caught up with Natano at his home after he attacked his brother leaving him with life-threatening injuries in Kalkallo in Melbourne’s north, 7News reported.

He ambushed his brother and stabbed him four times in the middle of a road in a frenzied attack caught on CCTV, before he also ran over his legs.

Natano then threatened to kill his sibling’s partner and three-year-old daughter, telling the woman, ‘I’m going to kill you, you’re next’.

He also drove directly at a single mum in the area, launching her five metres into the air before leaving her to die. 

The woman whose identity is suppressed read her victim impact statement at the County Court on Wednesday, Nine News reported.

‘Mentally you have ruined me … you’ll never have my forgiveness.

‘It’s been 676 days since you saw it as your right to ruin my life.’

She told the court she suffers chronic pain and PTSD since the devastating incident.  

‘Pain still so intense it still brings me to tears,’ she said. 

Natano shed tears and plead for mercy in court, apologising to his victims. 

‘I wish you a good recovery and may the Lord take you back to before what I did to you,’ he told the mum on Wednesday.

He has pleaded guilty to 16 charges and faces sentencing in March.
