A man has died after being found with stab wounds at a rural property.

Emergency services were called to home on Abel Smith Parade in Mount Isa, north-west Queensland, just after 2am on Thursday to reports of a stabbing.

A 34-year-old man was found bleeding out at the scene with life-threatening injuries and was rushed to Mount Isa Hospital where he died shortly after.

The property has been declares a crime scene as police launch investigations into the incident. 

Police said an 18-year-old man from Mount Isa is assisting investigations. 

Anyone with information has been urged to contact police.
