The man’s body was discovered on a road, near a white Holden sedan on Tidcombe Crescent in Doncaster East, just before 5am on September 4.
Police have since charged the Doncaster man, who was previously interviewed by police, with one count of murder.
The investigation is ongoing, according to police.
The 34-year-old man will face Melbourne Magistrates’ Court today.
