Mystery surrounds the discovery of two bodies at a home near the regional city of Ballarat in Victoria.

Police confirmed the discovery of the two bodies at a home on Morgan St, Sebastopol about 9pm on Friday.

The bodies of a man, 55, and a woman, 42 were removed from the house. It’s believed the pair were known to each other. 

How the two came to die is as yet unknown but police say they are not looking for anyone else in relation to the incident.

‘The exact circumstances surrounding the incident are yet to be determined and the investigation is ongoing,’ Victoria Police said in a statement.

The Crime Investigation Unit is working with the Homicide Detectives to determine a cause of death.
